Fundraising ideas :

1. To help your artists raise $15 each to cover the participation fees, we are happy to provide a sponsorship letter that students can present to anyone interested in sponsoring their work. In exchange, the student can write "This portrait is sponsored by (Sponsor's Name)" on the back of the portrait.

2. Consider approaching a local service organization such as Rotary or Kiwanis.  Typically members of Rotary, Kiwanis, and other such groups are very eager to support young people in their communities who are engaged in service.

3. Form a partnership with a local bank, grocery store, or some other type of business.  The business would agree to sponsor the participation fees, and then the finished portraits would go on display at the business before they are due to be sent to us. All of the business's customers would then see that the business is supporting local service activities, so the business may indeed find that type of partnership to be worthwhile.

4. Hold a gallery exhibit of the finished portraits and invite community members to donate.
